Covid-19 Update

Updated: May 8, 2020

Brothers and sisters in Christ,

Here is an update on the COVID-19 situation here at Lund Lutheran Church.

With our stay-at-home order being extended to May 18th, the council has prayerfully discussed and decided to keep Lund closed to all worship services and activities until further notice. Worship services will continue to be held on live video on the Lund Facebook page. We encourage everyone to continue to join us at 9:30 on Sunday mornings to watch the service. We also hope you will invite your family and friends to join us for the service on Facebook as well.

We ask you to continue to remember your church with your offerings. The work of the church does not stop because of the pandemic. Bills continue to come and other expenses are also incurred to continue God’s work. Please send these offerings directly to Myra Eastman who is the one who deposits the offerings at the bank and our Financial Secretary. Myra’s address is: Myra Eastman    21069 400th Ave.    Detroit Lakes, MN  56501

Also, with this stay-at-home order in place our church secretary: Pam and Pastor Steve will be working from home. You can still get hold of either of them via phone or email.

Church email is: lundlutheran@msn.com

Pastor’s email is: sbruer57@gmail.com.

Or reach us by phone:

Pastor Steve: 218-252-1272

Pam: 847-6567.

Pastor has been adding daily devotions on the church website for comfort, peace, strength, encouragement during these trying times we are living in, and a way to keep in touch with Scripture and what it means for our daily lives. We hope all of you will check them out and be uplifted by these devotions.

Our kitchen remodeling project is underway and we will be posting pictures on the church website in the near future so you can see the progress.

Again we ask you to bear with us as we progress through this pandemic and pray for your leaders and the difficult decisions they have to make and pray for each other for health and well-being!  Remember, this is unprecedented territory for all of us!

We will continue to keep you updated on the church website and via letter of any changes as the need arises.

Thank you!

                                                                                                              Stay safe and stay healthy,

                                                                                                          Lund Council and Pastor Steve

A closing scripture passage for you. Romans 8:18 & 28: For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
