Covid-19 Update

Updated: March 26, 2021

Brothers and sisters in Christ,

Here is an update on the COVID-19 situation here at Lund Lutheran Church.

At the March Lund Council Meeting, we had discussion on returning to in-person worship. After discussion it was decided that we will return to the drive-in style worship in the Lund parking lot on Easter morning and the Sunday after. We then set April 18th as a tentative date to return back into the Lund sanctuary for in-person worship. Unless the numbers increase in COVID cases, we are planning to worship inside on the 18th. However, if the number of cases in our state and county increases, we may have to push the date back. We'll keep you informed as best we can.

Worship services on Easter and the week after will be held with the drive in style worship in the church parking lot and on live video on the Lund Facebook page. We encourage everyone to join us at 9:30 on Easter Sunday morning to come to worship via drive in style (tune your radio to 95.7 FM) or watch the service on the Lund Facebook page. We also hope you will invite your family and friends to join us for the service as well.

We ask you to continue to remember your church with your offerings. The work of the church does not stop because of the pandemic. Bills continue to come and other expenses are also incurred to continue God’s work. Offerings can be received at the drive in service or you can send your offering directly to Myra Eastman who is the one who deposits the offerings at the bank and our Financial Secretary. Myra’s address is: Myra Eastman    21069 400th Ave.    Detroit Lakes, MN  56501

A closing scripture passage for you. Romans 8:18 & 28: For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
